Carol J. Kuppler, 76, of Lexington, Indiana, died Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Traditions at Hunters Station in Sellersburg, Indiana.

She was born on April 1, 1946 in Louisville to Donald and Pauline Ballard Yates. Raised in the South Gate and Southern Parkway areas of Louisville, she attended Holy Name Elementary School and graduated from Holy Rosary High School. After high school she married Bernie Perry and they lived in Saint Louis and had three sons. She moved back to the Louisville area and later to Jeffersonville, Indiana, and worked for an oral surgeon and earned her LPN degree from Jefferson Community College. She then married Paul Logsdon and they had twin sons. She continued her education and earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Southeast. She then married Robert Kuppler in Madison, Indiana and settled in the community of Jefferson County, Indiana. She completed her Register Nursing Degree at Indiana University Nursing School and began her nursing career at Englishton Park in Lexington and then managed Jewell House in Madison. During her career she assisted many other organizations but most of all she enjoyed helping others as a home nurse. She was active in her community for 25 years as a 4-H leader in Clark and Jefferson counties and served as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador for several years. She was appointed litigator by the Jefferson County Court to represent juveniles in court. She was a member of the Kent Chapter of Homemakers and particularly involved with the quilt shows. She attended Catholic schools and was active in the Jeffersonville Episcopal Church. In Jefferson County, Indiana, she was active in the Zoar United Methodist Church and later in North Madison Christian Church, where she prepared meals for funerals and volunteered with preschool children. She had also served as director and secretary for the Jefferson County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include her husband Robert A. Kuppler of Lexington; her sons, Keith Perry and Brian Perry, both of Charlestown, Indiana, Chris Perry of New Albany, Indiana, Mike Logsdon of Clarksville, Indiana, and Matt Logsdon of Louisville; her stepdaughters Kamala Graves of Georgetown, Indiana, Kristal Branch of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Kacinda Boros of Spencer, Indiana; her sister Susanne Willis of Louisville; and seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Her parents preceded her in death; and her brothers Jerry Yates, Bruce Yates and Richard Yates.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17 at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel in Hanover. Visitation is at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Tuesday.
