The Grizzly Cubs (6-6) survived a determined rally by the Woodmen (5-8) in the fourth quarter to advance to the Johnson County Tournament championship game. Franklin led 26-15 into the fourth quarter, only to see Greenwood roar back at host Whiteland in the final seconds of the game, making it a one-ball fight. Each team had two players in double figures despite weak competition, with Franklin’s Dylan Beverly leading all scorers with 13 points and Carter Campbell leading the Woodmen with 12.

Marcus Ankney nailed five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Class 4A No. 5 Trojans to their 13th victory on Friday the 13th as he defeated the host Warriors in a semi-final of the Johnson County Tournament defeated. Center Grove will face Franklin (6-6) in the finals tonight, seeking his second win of the season against the Grizzly Cubs.

The past slid into the present for an exciting night as defending No. 3 champions Millers recovered from a halftime deficit to defeat the previously undefeated and No. 2 Eagles in a nine-point win. And it came during a one-on-one fight between Noblesville’s Reagan Wilson (career-high 37 points, including seven 3-pointers) and Zionsville’s Laila Hull (32 points) that helped the Millers to their 10th straight win.
