The Little Rock Trojans take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Check out our college basketball odds series Bethune Cookman Indiana prediction and selection.
The Indiana Hoosiers look like a team poised to fulfill their promise and potential. Star Big Man Trayce Jackson-Davis returned for this season, which immediately and dramatically boosted the Hoosiers’ ceiling. Without him, Indiana sure would be a midfield team. With him, the Hoosiers are a prime contender for the Big Ten championship, and they’re playing that way. They crush the teams they are designed to defeat with ease. They don’t play around. They played away against a high quality opponent, Xavier, and won by 81-79 points. These are the new look Hoosiers with a changed attitude and better habits and instincts. Sure, Jackson-Davis (TJD) is the centerpiece, but the roleplayers play very confidently around him. The group cohesion improves TJD’s performance and makes Indiana much better, especially at the offensive end of the floor. However, IT is early in the season and greater challenges await. Some skepticism is still warranted with this team, but skeptics have to admit that so far IU has impressed and made a strong statement of its legitimacy. So far, Indiana is handling the pressures that come with launching a new campaign.
Jackson-Davis averages just under 21 points and nine rebounds per game. He fits the profile of a big man who can score consistently but whose defense doesn’t suffer from his offensive prowess. You can find a lot of big men dedicated to offense who aren’t nearly as fixated on defense and who need to be hidden in a zone defense to mitigate their deficiencies. TJD is not such a big man. He gives a full, well-rounded effort on both ends of the floor and allows Indiana to be so much more dynamic as a team.

Why Little Rock could be covering the spread
That’s a huge range for an Indiana team that, good as it is, may be downshifting a little just before Thanksgiving. The Hoosiers play against a lot of very manageable opponents. As an expression of human nature, it would be very understandable if this team didn’t fully dial in. Little Rock has a losing record, but the Trojans just defeated a Jackson State team interestingly playing in Indiana on Friday afternoon. One can see some signs of evolution and growth in Trojans. All they have to do is lose by less than 32 points and they cover. It’s entirely possible.
Why Indiana could cover the spread

The Hoosiers have started the season very well. A team that plays good basketball deserves trust, especially against a not very strong opponent. Indiana was a 31.5-point favorite against Bethune Cookman early in the season, winning by 52 points, 101-49. The Hoosiers have earned the benefit of the doubt here.
Final Little Rock-Indiana Prediction & Selection
Indiana has come a long way this season as a 31.5-point favorite at home to a poor team. Might as well stick with this selection here.
