WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana — Purdue Football defeated Northwestern 17-9 in their last home game of the season on Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium. The team celebrated Senior Day before kick-off and finished their home relay with a 4-2 record.

The win for the Boilermakers gave them a winners conference record for the first time since 1997-98 in consecutive seasons, and the program recorded seven wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in 15 years.

Sixth-year senior quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw for a season-low 159 yards while completing 16 of his 25 pass attempts, but two first-half touchdowns put Purdue to a 14-3 lead at halftime.
