Eli Aston, East Central Football
The Trojans’ wide receiver threw a touchdown pass, caught a touchdown pass, and also blocked a potentially game-winning field goal attempt to send the game into overtime.
Teagan Bennett, Lawrenceburg Football
Bennett rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns with 23 carries while leading Lawrenceburg 35-7 past Monrovia.
Ryan Black, Adams Central Football
As quarterback, Black rushed for four touchdowns in a 35-0 win over North Judson to lead Adams Central back into the 1A State Title Game for a rematch with Lutheran, who won last year’s title.
Drayk Bowen, Andrean Football
Bowen, signed from Notre Dame, ran at will in the 59ers’ 48-29 win over Bishop Luers. He amassed 358 rushing yards and five touchdowns to send Andrean to the 2A State Finals for a second straight season and eighth overall.
Ashlynn Brooke, Pioneer Girls Basketball
Brooke, a senior guard, has had a busy week for the Panthers with back-to-back 31-point performances in victories over Knox and Culver Community on Thursday and Friday. As a junior, she averaged 25.9 points per game.
Gloria Brewer, Greencastle girls basketball
Brewer continued a performance of 46 points and 22 rebounds on November 11 with 30 points and 10 rebounds against North Putnam on Friday and 31 points and 11 rebounds against South Putnam on Saturday.
Micah Coyle, Center Grove Football
Coyle was the Trojans’ workhorse in their win over Cathedral, rushing for 218 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries to help Center Grove advance to their fourth straight state championship game.
Joe Davis, Lutheran from Indianapolis
Davis rushed 31 times for 207 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 28-7 win over North Decatur. Davis has rushed for 1,769 yards and 28 TDs this season and has surpassed 3,000 career rushing yards.
Travis Davis II, Valparaiso Soccer
Davis rushed 40 times for 260 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ upset win over 5A-ranked Fort Wayne Snider.
Asia Donald, Hobart girls basketball
Donald, a senior senior guard, had 69 points in two wins last week, including a season-high 37 in a win over River Forest on Saturday. Donald is averaging 32.8 points per game in the first six games of the season – all wins for Hobart.
Marshall Kmiecik, New Prairie Football
The Cougars’ QB led a late comeback to push New Prairie 10-9 past Kokomo and into the 4A championship game. He scored the winning touchdown, finishing with 79 yards through the air and 69 yards on the ground.
Joey Pierre, Evansville Mater Dei Football
Mater Dei earned a rematch with Andrean in the 2A championship game after covering 181 yards and a touchdown with 26 carries in a win over Linton.
Braden Steely, Fort Wayne Carroll Football
Steely scored two touchdowns and finished with 66 yards on 20 carries as the Chargers defeated top-ranked Hamilton Southeastern 14-6 to advance to their first state championship game in school history.
Drew VanVleet, Bishop Chatard Football
He threw for 109 yards and a touchdown and ran for a goal as the Trojans and their suffocating defense beat West Lafayette 21-3.
Congratulations to East Central’s Josh Ringer for voting for SBLive Indiana High School Athlete of the Week November 7-12.
Ringer carried 28 times for 142 yards and three touchdowns in East Central’s 35-21 win over Evansville Memorial to a spot in the Class 4A semi-state championship game.
