Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate a shooting that killed a man at an apartment in the Angel’s Triangle neighborhood of northeast El Paso last week, a police spokesman said Monday.
The identity of the 52-year-old man who died was not released by police officials until his family was formally notified.
Police responded to the shooting after a caller reported hearing multiple gunshots at an apartment building on Block 8600 of Robert Drive near Lawrence Avenue around 2 p.m. Nov. 10, police spokesman Sgt. Enrique Carrillo said.

The man was found dead in an apartment in what detectives described as a homicide, Carrillo said. As of Monday, there had been no arrests.
During the investigation, a second victim of the shooting was found a few blocks away in an apartment building on Kenneth Street, but this man was uncooperative with investigators, police said.
According to the police department, there were 21 homicides in El Paso this year, compared to 30 at this time last year.
El Pasoan dies in a head-on collision in southeastern New Mexico
An 18-year-old El Paso man was killed Nov. 9 in a head-on collision with a commercial vehicle on a freeway in the southeast corner of New Mexico, state police said Monday.
New Mexico State Police said Francisco Saenz Hinojos was driving a 2019 Ford pickup truck eastbound on NM State Road 168 west of the Lea County town of Jal around 5 a.m.

For unknown reasons, the pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound truck. The truck then struck an eastbound 2022 Ford F-250, police said.
Hinojos died at the scene. The 22-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and two passengers in the F-250 were not injured, state police said.
State police determined that alcohol was not involved in the wreck and all drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts.
The driver dies after an accident at the I-10 Downtown exit
An El Paso man died in a hospital on the night of Nov. 7 after a car crash off the Downtown exit of Interstate 10 West, police said.
Fernie Anthony Favela, 22, of Central El Paso, was driving a Saturn when he pulled off the freeway at high speed, lost control and crashed into a guardrail, causing the car to spin. Favela, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, according to a police press release.

Police said Favela was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. The next day, the coroner’s office told investigators that the man had no brain activity.
17-year-old West Side passenger Lyah Devine Diaz, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries, police said.
